how do I set up a broad band on a laptop computor?

It is to be connected to a modem that is all ready set up for broad band but the laptop does not recognise the modem. The other computors recognise the modem and connect to the modem okay.

turn the modem off for 20 secs then turn it back on,oh switch off your pc first,turn it on after you turn modem back on.

If the modem is connected via Ethernet you did not required to detect, if the modem is connected via USB check for USB drivers and scan for new Hardware in device manager for detecting modem and respective drivers

You need to have a lan card for it or you can also purchase a flash internet connection. Broad band internet connections are also coming in form of usb or flash drive.
