How to send fax over internet broad band connection?

I wish to send and receive fax on my internet connection,what would I have to do to avail this service.

It's not possible to send a fax using a broadband modem because to send a fax you need to establish a dial tone and broadband modems don't do that,so there are a couple of ways you can send a fax.
1st way is if your computer has a dial up modem installed,if it does you simply connect your phone line to the modem and use Windows inbuilt fax program to create your fax and just dial the fax number and Windows will fax it for you,you don't need a dial up account because it's just a phone call not internet.You could also scan your fax into Windows and do it that way.
The other way is to use a web based fax service which means installing software on your computer and sending the fax as an email to the fax company who fax it for you,this can be expensive,google search for web based fax.of course you could buy a cheap fax machine or a multi function printer with fax included,I brought a Brother multi function with fax,scan,copy and printer recently for $75.00 and it works great,
